Sony PS3 Slim About To Get Confirmed. Original Console To See Price Drop

Sony PS3 Slim rumors have been floating around for some time now and the unofficial word is that Kazuo “Kaz” Hirai head of the Sony Console division will make the unit official sometime next week.
The PS3 Slim should officially be announced today at GamesCom in Cologne, Germany and is expected to by released in time for the UK and US Christmas shopping season.
The move shouldn’t surprise Sony console gamers considering the companies history of releasing slim versions of their systems including the PSPOne Slim and PS2 Slim models. Although the slim version of the PS3 with built-in blu-ray definitely makes this release the best to date.
No word yet on pricing, although Sony has been pretty good about releasing street prices for their Slim units once there announced, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed for official pricing at some point today.
In other Sony Playstation 3 news, the company is expected to make a price drop announcement at GamesCom today, a good sign that the PS3 Slim is on it’s way. [via Pocket-Lint]

Sony PS2 in Bubblegum Pink

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced the latest member of the PlayStation family aimed at the fairer sex on Monday- a limited-edition of slim line PlayStation 2 in pink. The Pink PlayStation 2 is funky, fresh, and fashionable, and will further broaden the console's continuing popularity and relevance with a fun new twist. The console will come with two matching pink analogue controllers, and a pink 8MB memory card. Inside it’s no different to the standard console, but that lush pink casing means it’s a whole lot more eye-catching than your average set-top box. Scheduled to hit store shelves on November 8, it will only be available from retail outlets in Europe.
But you can catch a glimpse of the new console at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, later this week. Joining the PS2 players club with this pink version will set you back by additional $245.Via - Gizmodiva

Sony Ericsson PSP Phone Concept

Sony Ericsson patented a PSP phone concept a while back, proving that Sony had some interest in developing a PSP phone model. At the time, it was more than likely not a priority, but that̢۪s starting to change.
Consumer interest in the idea has really increased lately and could force Sony to at least take a look at the idea again. The above image is a PSP phone concept created by a random internet user. Although Sony would probably never go with a design idea from someone random, if the idea catches on, they will have no choice but to consider the ideas flying around the internet.

Check out the top 3 mini laptops (10 inch laptops) I recommend to my friends
GOOD NEWS: You can save $100 instantly on the world smallest laptop SONY VAIO® UX Series from the Sony's official web site today!
My previous laptop review was written mainly for the "serious" computer users. For those of you who dig the "coolest", "fanciest" gizmos outa there, here is a new toy:
This is got to be the smallest laptop available today - Sony VAIO UX. With a dimension of 5.91”×3.74”×1.50”, Sony VAIO UX is equipped with a 1.2 GHz Intel Mobile CPU, 512 MB DDR2 PC2-3200 400 MHz RAM and 32 GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive at 4200 RPM. Of course it comes with all of the network gadgets like blue tooth, wireless modem, etc. Sony VAIO UX combines the best features from mobile phones, PDA, and Laptop computers. For example, it has two built-in cameras! one on the back can be used as still photo camera and the one in the front can be used as a web camera. This laptop also has a stereo speaker built in! The sliding keyboard makes it slick and small. Oh, did I mention, it is a tablet PC? And it comes with USB 2.0, IEEE 1394 / Firewire, VGA and AV output! It has a slide-out keyboard! For normal typing, it's more than enough!
The battery is weight 1.2 lb which can last 3-5 hours and the Intel graphic media accelerator 950 supports maximum resolution of 1024 x 600. Yes, it is a PC which means it's attached with MS Windows XP Pro.
